Introductions Are Hard

Hey guys, name's Jared.
Definitely not a "Photographer", but decided it was time to get a camera due to the limits of my phone just aggravating me. Always enjoyed it, and looking forward to getting better at it.
Can't wait to start learning more and just getting out and trying my best to get some good shots.

Camera is a White K-50, because I'm a student with a limited budget lol. Photographic interests include nature, cars and whatever else catches my eyes with cool lines, colors or scenery.
Borrowing a kit lens and a prime 50mm from a family friend at the moment and learning about what I like and don't like with each, along with fiddling around with the setting of the camera as I go.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys,
Jared

G'day Jared.
K-50 might be affordable on a limited budget but it is in no way a limited DSLR. It's excellent. You'll enjoy it.
Best lens I bought for use on my K-50 is the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 - F4 Macro HSM with OS. I bought it 2nd hand at a good price. It practically lives on my K-50 as it is very versatile and the OS (Optical Stabilization) is brilliant when shooting video clips which overcomes the horrible MovieSR that Pentax have crippled all their recent models with.

Welcome. You will learn quite quickly. Don't get caught up in all the technical jargon, learn composition and lighting first.

The cameras look great in white, very cheerful but still a little serious.

Concentrate on the basics, it will pay off in the long run. Keep an eye open for used lenses once you figure out what else you want to do.
