New to Pentax

Hello everyone my name is Mark Wiley and I am new to the Pentax family. I just picked up a new K5IIs and it is my favorite camera ever and I have used Canon 1D series and 5D for years . I just picked up a Pentax F 35-80 for 10.00 bucks for street use and so far the results with this lens are pretty good. Today I bought SMC Macro Takumar 50 mm f4, Super Takumar 135mm 3.5 and a Pentax F 50mm 1.7 for 30.00. I hope I got a good deal on the three lenses I picked up today. I can't wait to to try these lenses out.

Those legacy lenses are wonderful. You might consider an auto-focus lens, F, FA, F-DA, and DA. The F50 you have should help you decide if auto focus is a necessity.

So I love the F50 and it is much sharper than the Canon 50 I had when I shot with Canon. My other question which adapter should I get for use the manual lenses on my camera.

If you buy older screw mount lenses, you will need an adapter. All Pentax lenses will work on your camera. Some will require the adapter. Lenses not labelled as A, F, FA, or,DA are not auto anything. A series lenses have aperture selection in camera, but are manual focus. The first auto focus lenses are the "F" series.

What a deal you found. I am sure the lenses will be just fine.
