Long time lurker, finally in the forum!

Hi all,
I've been a secret Pentaxian for a couple of years now. I shoot film and digital and love the compatibility that Pentax affords me. I was brought into the fold when the K-01 went super cheap with the 40 XS kit and I've been hooked ever since. I'm also an avid Ricoh GR shooter on top of that!

I'm sure you'll all be welcoming since I already know that this is one of the best photo communities out there. I'm looking forward to meeting more Pentaxians/Ricohites and also taking advantage of the buy/sell forum. It's hard where I live to find plentiful lenses and other kit on Craigslist and the like. I'm lucky enough though to live in the Boston area, where Hunt's Camera still carries Pentax. In fact, they had the lovely Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 in their Fenway store the other day and I got to play with it on a K-50! Not many other Pentax fans are that fortunate. Check out the photo I attached to this post.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to finally, officially coming out of the lurker closet and interacting with all of you lovely people!

You can begin to comprehend why there are not 1.8 lenses on the 645 system.

Thanks! From what I gather, the mandate from Sigma's CEO to his engineers was: DO SOMETHING CRAZY! And, so, even though it's a big lens, it's also the world's first f/1.8 wide zoom
