Oldschool Newbie!

Hello everyone! I recently (Okay, last year, but everything is relative!) stumbled onto a couple of older Pentax film SLR's in a gear bundle at a pawn shop, and I couldn't pass up on the deal. I got a K1000 and a P30t, and they're in decent shape. I dusted them off, and all levers and buttons seem to work okay. I haven't put any batteries in them, so I don't know if EVERYTHING works, but I'll get there eventually. If anybody has any pointers on them I would greatly appreciate it. Up until now I have only ever used point-and-shoot cameras, so I'm afraid I'm a little behind the times when it comes to this level of photography. I appreciate any advice offered. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum!

I would suggest inspecting the lenses for signs of mold/fungus/haze.
