Hi there from UAE.

Most worth situation here - PENTAX is not famous as other brands. So have to wait for a long time, until lenses deliver from such resources like EBAY or AMAZON.

But was really happy, when found sale advertising of three lenses of TAMRON for Pentax (70-300; 24-135 and 18-200), on the price less than Pentax DA 18-55, as one buddy made a mistake and bought these lenses for his CANON

You lucked into a bargain!
That Tamron 70-300 has some purple fringing in high contrast environments - not too bad on my old K10 but on the K5 it was pronounced. It's a good lens, but just watch for those situations.

We have the same problem here. Pentax not easily available, but we stick with Pentax. Love to suffer? No. Great camera and forum. Your buddie hasn't ordered some other lenses as well?
