Broadening my Horizons

Hi everyone, just getting reacquainted with my Kx after setting her aside for a bit. I have mainly shot action photos of my kids in their sporting events, but since that chapter is coming to a close, need to work on a variety of other things to shoot.

Live in the middle of KS, my youngest is just about to graduate high school, so may have some extra time to put this camera through its paces and maybe develop the skills to upgrade my equipment. Lenses are the basics that came with this starter kit. 55-300 and 18-55 Pentax SMC? That's me on the slalom ski, not one of my pictures!

Not one of the easiest sports to get dynamic images from, I'm looking forward to seeing some of yours.

Extremely disappointing day for taking pictures. Two of our workers were not able to make it and drizzle and rain came to visit too. Here are a couple of attempts to capture some action. I'm pretty sure these images were shot through a water spotted lens.

Should've done some practice shots before attempting indoor/flash shooting at Christmas, ugh these are not good.
