Hello from Perth, Australia

Howdy
Signed up a few weeks ago, so better do the right thing and introduce myself. I retired 4 years ago, and decided to persue photography.
I'm married to a great girl (34 years) and have....had... 2 kids that have flown the coup.......
Dad was a keen amateur photographer and always took on the resposibilities on family occasions etc.
Used to dabble a bit when younger, and always carried an instamatic with me. When I was overseas in the late 60's I bought a Miranda that I used as the kids grew up.
Bought an MZ60 and a couple of kit lenses just prior to retirement and moved to the *istD and last year the K10D.
Keen on aviation photography, wildlife, and events....sport etc..
Anyway that is me.........

Welcome from another newbie (only joined yesterday). I must get over to the West one of these days - have a great hankering to see the Pilbara/Hammersley region and Broome, although I hear the developers have ruined it. But the bird migrations on that beach must be a stunning photographer's dream.

Welcome Greg, good to see another Aussie on the forum. Like Wombat, I want to "Go West young man . . ." but living in SA and I haven't even been to Kangaroo Island . . . doesn't augure well for a trip to WA.
