"Guten Abend" from Germany

Hello Pentaxians

I'm a male Pentax owner and user for more than 30 years.
First digital camera was an Optio 750Z which I still own, use and love.
First DSLR a K-20D followed by a K-S1.
It's so intriguing to use old manual lenses on modern digital cameras.

I like playing music on vintage HiFi and driving vintage cars combined with modern technology.
And I confess that I'm totally addicted to internet, politics, modern science and technology.

So much more to say but so much more to learn.

Happy new year to all

Welcome from Chicago!

Nothing wrong with Vintage - most of us have armsful of vintage glass for our modern cameras.
I have been tempted to set up a nice old tube-driven amp in my garage workshop...protected from dust, of course. I think I can find plenty of great old stereo equipment now.

Thank you for your kind reply

Tubes, well, kind of a forgotten world but still in use and more and more worshipped.

I'm sitting in my kitchen listening music played out of a ca. 50 year old tube driven SABA-radio while simultaniously using nearly realtime internet conversation.

It's so much fun playing with tubes but be careful: High voltages there

Hallo Rubinchen,

wow, a second new member to this forum in 2015 from Germany. I would like to talk to you in our native language 'cause

"Rubinchen" sounds so sweet. Have a look at my profile and make a call if you want.

Kind regards

Welcome! I'm a tube guy, but with a fairly modern 2A3 amp that I love--as well as modern and vintage Pentax, with a range of lenses, film bodies, and digital. I really look forward to seeing your view of the world in images!

Welcome, I guess that's you and me both, all my lenses are considered old now... a bit like myself.

Dear Kerrowdown

It's a bit hard to read between your lines as a non native English/American.
But, life expectancy is what it's all about - unless you believe in god or use pentax glasses.
So use Pentax and you probably will never die .

Respectfully yours

My brother is a bassist and has a couple tube amps he uses on the road paired with vintage alembic and Guild basses. They really rumble.

Hi all,

I am adding myself to this thread, since I am from Germany as well. Currently I am not owning a Pentax Camera, but I am interested in buying one and truly appreciate the information that I can find here, especially concerning lenses.

My first camera, tough, was a Pentax ME-Super, so I hope that counts. ;-)

Cheers
Sven
