Hello everyone,
I've been lurking around the forum for sometime now and especially gawking at the photos in the "Post your medium format photos"-thread (btw. thanks for everyone posting the awesome pictures providing photographic joy). I've now finally decided to try and participate myself as my own photography has come to a point where I'd like to hear other's thoughts and critique as well to further improve my own craft. I also really don't have anyone to talk to (IRL) about the technical minutiae related to DSLR use so I consider that a bonus about the forum as well (I've couple of friends intrested in photography, but the specifics differ too wildly to allow for an interesting discussion).
About me and photography:
I've been taking pictures with a K-5 for a couple of years now, and with sufficient disposable income, have managed to get my grubby hands of some delightful lenses (100mm WR macro anyone?). From the beginning I've been fascinated by nature photography and found subjects as opposed to people, events and architecture. The latter I find hard (I feel I cannot properly express myself through those subjects, also, I feel uncomfortable photographing people) while the former are inspirational and truly a joy when everything comes together for that perfect moment. I often prefer black and white over color as it allows me greater control over development as well as emphasizes textures and light, but of course it's horses for courses. Recently I've also been venturing into printing the pictures and from the few moderately successful tries I can already tell that is also going to be one interesting ride.
Anyways, greetings and best regards

EDIT: what on earth did the forum do to my linebreaks? Apparently the forum is a bit picky about allowing javascript
