Pentax Asahi Takumar 135mm f2.5

Hello, everyone I am new member very happy to be apart to the community; I have first question concerning the Pentax Asahi Takumar 135mm f2.5 (Bayonet) len, the lens connects to the Pentax k-3 but all I get in the view finder is a flashing F; can not shoot with it. Could someone explain.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, you just have to set the aperture ring to "A" for auto and or go into the menu and set it to Permitted for aperture ring.

hi & welcome to the board.

you have a very fine lens which is completely manual. therefor you need to enable "Using the Aperture Ring" in the C4 menu (page 83 in the english manual).

greetings,

tx0h

OK, I did that and it's working but may I ask another question; is there and adapter that I can connect this lens to that will give the reading automatically?

No the lens is manual. No adapter will change that.
