New Kid? in the house...

I started taking pics with a K1000 at star parties back in the late 1990's. I just purchased a K-50 with two kit lenses to use all over the place, regular grand kid pics and astronomy pics. The SLR has come a long way and has a long way to go yet. Will there ever be a perfect SLR ? Or , a perfect anything ? Although, at my age , my naps have been very close to perfect....

Welcome! K1000? I never had one, but I had one I think of as a close brother to it, the Ricoh KR10. I love that the new Pentax DSLRs take the old film lenses!
