Hi Everybody!!!

Stumbled upon the PentaxForums while reading upon the K10D. I'm Looking at buying a second hand one now that the 200D and 20D has been released. Have seen the price drop quite rapidly round here.

I'm still on a old Contax 35mm, but since I felt the great "Feel" of the Pentax DSLR range and seen the features and quality, I just want to get myself a Pentax.

Reason for looking at the K10d is plainly because I'm on enrty level at DSLR I don't want to go and buy a K20 right away. (don't have that kind of money anyway).

Photography I'm interested in is, Landscape, Abstracts, People(weddings etc.) and some Visual impact stuff.

At the moment I'm a full time Sound and Video Engineer in Cape Town, but am looking at leaving this profession sometime in the future to start my own Photography studio and become a great photographer.

Well, thats me in a nutshell. Sure I'm gonna have a great time and learn alot from everybody here.!!!!

You've found a great forum, not to mention a great camera. You will soon discover why we're "The Few, The Proud, The Pentaxians". As your first DSLR, the K10D is as close to Pro as you can get w/o spending a small fortune.

I used to live in PE, went to Woodridge College, but now live in Oakville Ontario +- 40km west of Toronto.

I'm new to the site and have just recently bought a k200d. I'm going to the Churchill Rugby Cup this Saturday...please dont rain, and looking forward to trying out my camera for some action shots. Its a double header - Canada vs Argentina (Ag Shame) and Eng Saxons and Ireland.

Welcome Daniel - my sister lives in CT too but I live in Canada - I have k200d and printed some pics of intl rugby from the curchill cup - awesome pics. Im convined pentax makes the best lenses. They just need to produce more
