New to Pentax K-r from WA

Hi guys, I found a Pentax K-r body on eBay for a deal that was just too good to pass up! Looks like a fun little camera with good image quality, I'm looking forward to trying it out. I have a manual focus 50mm F1.7 A series lens that I will use on it for now, trying to keep things budget minded. I ordered the AA adapter with a set of Eneloop batteries from B&H based on what I read on this forum. Thanks!

I shoot film, but haven't owned a digital camera besides my GoPro in about 9 months.

I too got one recently on eBay and am waiting for the AA adapter from China to get here. Of course, the day of or next day after it shipped, I checked amazon to see they too have the knock off adapter with 2 day prime. doh!

In any case, the K-r is a fun little camera. I owned the K-x back in 2010 as my first dSLR body (same body type). I really enjoyed the form factor and lightness of it. Been using Eneloop in all my camera equipment for the past 5 years. Never a problem.

The k-r is a bit boxier but both will do excellent work. That 12Mpx sensor was overwhelmed by the sweet 16 but I felt it was every bit as good. Enjoy!

I was the happy user of Enaloops in my K-x til I shifted to a K-3.
