Hello from Oxford, UK

Hi Pentaxians!

Got my K-50 with WR kit lenses few months ago. Joined forums before that, while doing some research about this camera. Reasonably priced intro level WR was one of main reasons i am with Pentax. Also flexibility using older lenses. Have Ricoh 50mm f1.7 XR Rikenon, and just received my wunderbar Revuenon 50mm f1.4 few days ago. Still struggling with manual focusing via viewfinder on my primes tho. Focus peaking on LCD is quite difficult in bright daylight. Anyway, i am sure i will find my solution here, on PentaxForums. K-50 exceeded my expectations. And counting. Looking forwards to situational, unposed portraits, street photos and maybe some abstracts. B/W.

Kind Regards,
Andre a.k.a. Shilas

Howdy. Oxford should be just the place for street photography, assuming you don't get run down by a cyclist. All the best.

Welcome to the form, maybe consider changing the focussing screen to a split prism type (like the old days), sure helps on the focussing front.

Port meadow at sunrise/sunset is always a winner. A nice macro for October (and then go hunting mushrooms up on shotover). Great place oxford! (I moved away just over a year ago, but love the place!)
