new pentax user...

very quick hello -- just found this forum...
my parents had a pentax slr many many years ago...
i have just bought a pre-owned K-x with a 50mm f1.8lens.
I am going to use it to take studio photos of my ceramics - I am a craft potter based in Wales.

Welcome aboard!
One of my neighbors is a high school art teacher specializing in pottery. He has had a series of kilns in his back yard, from homemade brick jobs to old steel trash cans, to a big heavy commercially-made one. He had to get a smaller car to make room in his garage for all the supplies!

Welcome to the forum, a good tripod and a couple of reflectors of some sort and I'd say your go to go.
