Converted to Pentax

Hello to the forum.
I have been photo hobbyist for many years , started long time ago in Poland with Soviet slr Zenith TTL. It was great camera build like tank ,with some limitations but with the character also .Now i live in Alberta ,Canada and recently got a lot of free/cheep Pentax lenses coming with good old Pentax MX camera . i was quite surprised it is no problem to use them on Pentax DSLR cameras . Now im going to try them on K-7 . This is my small collection -SMC Pentax-M 1:2.8 28mm ,SMC Pentax-M 1:2.8 40 , SMC Pentax-M 1:1.7 50mm ,Tokina SD 28-70 1:3.5-4.5 ,Tamron Adaptall 2 CF Tele Macro 80-210mm 1:3.8-4 ,Tokina AF 35-300mm 1:4.5-6.7 and 18-55mm , 50-200 DA lenses coming with k-7. Waiting for Helios 44-2 ordered on internet - i have no Zenith camera any more but this is Pentax ,it seems like we can use whatever we want -almost . If i will get some good pictures i wiil post some of them. But i learned long time ago -it is not only equipment required for good pictures , more important is our imagination
Best Regards
Marek

Hi Marek, and welcome to Pentax Forums. Your collection will be good to work with your K-7, but bear in mind the Field of View differences with the APS-C sensor, and the M-series lenses will need some consideration when setting the exposure manually. See this thread for more information. Enjoy your time here, as there's much help available, when you need it.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy the MX and legacy glass, I'm a bit of a fan of older glass too.
