My first Pentax was a S1a purchased by my mother for a Birthday present - £79.00 in 1969! Sold it for a SX70 instant camera - A few years later I purchased another - and still use it today with 28mm f3.5 and 50mm f2.0 and sometimes the 50/1.4/Eight - I use the MX or my preferred ME-Super with a Takumar Bayonet or the delightful 50mm F1.4 (I have two in K and three in M42 including a eight element) - I record images using film most days - The Takumar Bayonet is an excellent lens equally as good as the 3.5 screw thread - Now I have to confess to loving Leica rangefinders and I have an opinion of them which I will keep to myself! - Is there a difference? Not 30 or 40 times the price difference and a rangefinder cannot be compared to an SLR - Pentax is the most underrated 35mm camera on Earth by those who believe money makes the photographer... The Picture below was taken with Pentax S1a - 28mm f2.8 on Foma 100 Rodinal 50+1. I've not cropped or straighten the image in a reminder to look in the viewfinder a little more carefully! Every picture tells a story!
