Germany, Pentax +1

Hello Pentaxforums from Germany.

To be precise, it's +2.

After buying a Pentax K50 recently I absolutely HAD to add a Pentax MX to my collection.

Even though I love shooting people, animals and the countryside with the DSLR, taking photographs on film with the full manual MX is just like magic.

Photography can be dangerous, it seems to be more addictive than smoking or playing World Of Warcraft.

Welcome to the forum, that's called CBA, just wait until LBA kicks in too.

Does a Tamron 70-300 and an old manual 50/1:1,9 prime count for an entry level LBA?

It's a start. You only need to worry when you have more than one of a particular focal length...

Welcome to the company of many suffering and recovering LBA (and CBA) people - it never really goes away completely. We take photos as well, sometimes to justify the LBA and CBA, but some of us make pictures, too...

A small update.

Manual 28mm f2.8
Manual 50mm f1.9
Another manual 50mm f1.4 (for Bokeh!... and because it was cheap)
Kit lens + Tamron 70-300

Now I worry because I have more than one of the same focal length. On the other hand... I am going to buy a 50mm autofocus prime next.

Multiple lenses around the 50mm FL seem to be a common manifestation of LBA, so you are in good company (I only have three – a 50/1.8 SMC Takumar, a D-FA50/2.8 macro and a 58/1.4 Voigtlander). There are people here with many more than that…

I've kept the number of lenses more or less the same for over a year now. But I still have 12, and 4 of them are in the 50/55 range... and I have two 28mm 2.8 lenses... but only because they were both cheap

Today I almost bought another one... a Pentax-M 135mm 3.5 (sold my A 135 2.8 a couple weeks ago and wanted a replacement). But the lens was already sold. I might get a Sears now instead. But that would put me over 12... (I got a 24 and a 28 the day I sold the 135 - had to use the money before it got spent on something else...)

Cameras, I only have 3 Pentaxes (4 if you count the compact RZ18...)

At least in my case, the good thing is that it's quite a cheap hobby. None of my bodies or lenses was expensive, and everything I own doesn't even add up to a thousand dollars. So in that sense, it's fun and it's not breaking the bank. Despite what my wife thinks...

The irony, at least for me, is when I stopped playing WoW (to save money), I ended up buying camera lenses and getting into photography more.. so much for saving that money.

Yes the world is dynamic and, as such, there are a countless number of images to take.. constantly being recomposed in front of your camera.
