Hi from Germany

After reading some posts I dicidet to join this community, in order to get some more information about Pentax K-Mount. I tried to fit an CY-lens 1,4 / 50 to an old pentax me - didn't work really. But K-mount seems to be different to the old ME, so if anyone has some idea to fit good old CY-T*- lenses to good new Pentax K-5 ... would be nice. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forums. Your Pentax ME is definitely K-mount. The K-Mount and C/Y mount are similar in bayonet size, but the K-mount has a registration distance of 45.46mm while the C/Y mount is 45.5mm. This means that you would usually lose infinity focus with a C/Y lens on a K-mount camera. Leitax (http://www.leitax.com/) make K-mount adapters for some C/Y lenses. But there are others here who would know more about this than I do. But now you are here, post some pics for us. It is a great community.

Hi together,
is it possible to get infinity focus by filling in a little template of 0,04 mm between Pentax K-mount an CY-lenses? Did anybody tray that modification?

The problem with the idea of a shim is that you would need to have the 0.04 mm play in the mount to make it work. So the mount would be loose to begin with. Here is another solution: Pentax Multi Mount resurrects historic lenses from Nikon, Olympus, Contax and more—without an adapter

I do not know if they make it for weather sealed bodies yet.
