I have a k10d and I just bought a 28mm lense and it will not focus. Do I need something between the lense and the body? Or did I get a bad lense?

What lens? what mount?

Vivitar 28mm f2.8 screw mount. I put my adapter on, which I use on all my other lenses and have no issues with. This lense won't focus on anything over 2 inches away.

Take the lens back to the seller for refund.
