newbie

hi all. just joined the pentax forum. had lots of different cameras in the pst. last one fuji ex1. great camera & lenses. but camera slow. lenses excellent but expensive. so got me a k50. never regretted it . excellent old primes give great results. i have a 50mm f1.7 . best £15 i have spent. a 135mm f3.5. a 200mm f4 & of course a kit lens 18-55mm. hope to purchase a 100mm macro wr near end of year

Welcome aboard! Plenty of old primes to enjoy, that's for certain. And the DFA 100 is an excellent lens, both as a macro and as a short-ish tele. A bit slow to focus, sure, but you'll be hard pressed to find a sharper lens.

If you're interested in insects you'll find lots of people here using the 100mm macro lenses.

thank you. yes i will share some photos when i get to grips of how to. yes i like the k50. feels solid in the hand & some nice pro features on it.
