I'm Dan and I live near Salem, Oregon but am a native of the great town of Grants Pass.

My current Pentax equipment:

Pentax ME camera (this camera gets more use than all the others combined)
MEII winder
50mm f/1.7 normal (M)
28 - 70mm f/3.5 zoom (M)
135mm f/3.5 telephoto (M)

Other film cameras:

Olympus OM-20 with 50mm f/1.8 and 28-80 f/2.8 macro zoom (a beast but that fast speed is nice)
Olympus XA w A11 flash
Olympus Stylus Zoom 115
Yashica T4

and HP, Sony, and Samsung digitals

I do a lot of macro work - flowers and insects mainly - using the Olympus in manual mode.

Most of my shooting is done with the Pentax. The lack of a manual mode isn't a problem as the ME has a very accurate light meter, easy exposure compensation, and a wonderfully bright focusing screen. I will soon add a manual Pentax (likely an MX) to my kit. I love the quality of the M lenses, especially the 135mm, which is SHARP and contrasty!
