Thanks for the advice everyone, I can't wait to get the new camera now, I will def look at the Sigma 10mm or wider once I bite the bullet and list the Zuiko.
Pathdoc we are pretty lucky here, it's very dry here in Adelaide, it rarely rains, however it can be quite dusty at times.
I will have to look for one with weather sealing as I like to get close to the action with the wide lens at the beach and on the rocks doing long exposures and the poor E-3 has been hit by many rogue waves.
Okay. I used to live in Adelaide. Seems there are quite a lot of us Pentaxians there! But if you're at the beach, yes, WR is a necessary thing.

I would have to say if I had only 1 lens to start with it would be the 18-135 because of the versatility.

UWA?
Pentax has one zoom(DA 12-24, almost same range as your m4/3 zoom) and one* tiny prime(DA15), both are superb! I have both of them. and both are my faves.
You can't go wrong with either one depending on your needs.

*Well, there's a DA14 too. but bigger than 15. (and faster)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll keep an eye out for the 12-24 or the 15mm prime as I really like shooting with the wide angle, I dont think I've ever moved my 4/3 9-18mm off of 9mm.

The K-50 is a nice camera, you'll enjoy it!
I can't help with any UWA lenses, it's not my thing.

Well my new lens rocked up today but not the camera. Such a pity as I'm going camping in a minute, guess I'll just have to take the Oly E-1
