Hello! I'm Larry from Minneapolis, Minnesota, although my hard drive informs me that most of my photography happens during winter trips to Arizona. Mostly shoot landscapes and still life.
Picked up a K-50 with both kit lenses a couple months ago since the price was too good to pass up. First DSLR. Been shooting with a FujiFilm Finepix F770EXR, charmingly convenient for travel, but it's been time to move to the next level. I had been looking to move to a bridge system, but the K-50 is selling for not much more. Sure, I can find room in the budget for that...
Budget, smudget. What I did not realize is that vintage glass is addictive. Compatible with 40 years worth of lenses right out of the box? THANKS PENTAX. I've already snagged five second-hand K-mount lenses. Plus a pile of accessories. I'm reasoning that I have still spent less than if I had gotten a Nikon with two lenses.
In the process of teaching myself a lot more about photography. Hoping to move into astrophotography eventually. Already have the O-GPS1, but AstroTracer does me zero good under city light pollution.
(Sample from my first session out with the kit lens.)
