Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. If there is anyone who is been here for a long time would know of a member that use to be here by the name of bramela. I am his daughter. A while before he died, he gave me one of his cameras. I would like to follow in his steps. But I don't know about the camera or photography much. I was wondering if this is the place to learn. Also I know that this might be late but I would like to thankyou for all the support throughout the time that dad was sick. I really appreciated it. I have heard of some of the names here. I hope that you can help me out.

Welcome aboard… I’ve only been on the forum a short while so I did not know your father. It’s wonderful that you are choosing to follow in his footsteps by taking up photography, I know once you learn the basics of photography and your camera you will catch the photo bug like the rest of us.

And to answer your question yes you have landed in the right place. The knowledge base here and the willingness of the members to offer their help, make this special place to ask questions and learn.
