Hello from USA

Hello All,
Stumbled upon these forums while looking for black Friday DSLR deals .
I ordered my first DSLR today, a K-50 with kit lens. I look forward to learning a great deal about the camera and photography from the folks on this forum.

Thank you all for making me feel welcomed.
@dansamy - high-school all over again!

The D-50 was delivered today.When I tilt the camera from normal picture taking position to the right, a weight inside shifts to the right. Tilting it to the left again moves that weight inside to the left.
Is this normal or did I end up with a defective piece?

I took a few shots in auto mode and everything else seems to be OK.

correction- Please read K-50 in the post above. I cant seem to locate the edit post button.

Yup. Lots of new Pentaxians have returned multiple camera bodies because they didn't realize that "clunk" was completely normal.

My bad , I should have searched a bit about the "clunk" noise. There seem to be a lot of threads on the internet.
I wonder why the makers don't add a line to the manual about the noise being normal..... oh well.

On a separate note, I got a polarizing lens and it doesn't fit.

Amazon.com : Tiffen 52mm Circular Polarizer : Camera Lens Polarizing Filters : Camera & Photo

Specs say its 52mm diameter and I was expecting it to fit the 18mm-55mm kit lens. Is it a wrong thread pattern?
