Hello from Canada

Good day everyone.

I just received a brand new K-3 and looking forward to use it a lot. It's my first step into the DSLR world and have a lot to learn, but I love it so far!

Welcome (from probably some other part of Canada)..to the forum... did it come with a lens?

My wife and I frequently guide Europeans into Algonquin Park, here in Ontario. I can't believe how often we get.. Oh my cousin "______" lives in Vancouver.. do you know her?

Yes! It was the "standard" 18-135mm. Pretty versatile, does everything I need for now.

I love that lens. Now all you need is a DA*60-250 and about 7 other lenses to go with it.

If i ever meet you, I'll tell you about my 'Golden Girl" from a hitch hiking adventure in my youth. It's way to much to get into on line. But I've been to Golden a number of times, how would I know if it was you i saw? Do you where a funny hat or anything?

Right now, your next lens should be the DA 50 1.8. It's big performance from a cheap lens.

Pretty cheap right now indeed! With F1.8, you can do some pretty nice tricks.

Welcome seb. Greetings from the UK.

I think you will love the K3 with almost any lens. It's the guy/gal behind the lens that makes the shot imo. Plenty of great photo opportunities in Quebec I'd imagine. The city itself has some fantastic architecture as you will know.

Great hockey team too. (Canucks fan here, the team that taught Dale Weis all he knows
