A Reluctant Introduction

Saying that I have never been a fan of "introduce yourself"-type threads is something of an understatement, so I admit I was slightly displeased when I found out that not only does this forum have a whole section dedicated to them, one is in fact required to post in one before they can post anywhere else. Well, here it is, then -- Hello world, I am a person who takes photos using a Pentax camera, enjoys reading the conversations here but prefers to post only when he actually has something of value to add.

Happy holiday-of-your-choice to everyone and thank you for all the useful information and inspiring photography you share.

Nice job! Perhaps the "you are not allowed to post here, dirty zero-post peasant" restriction only applies to a couple of sections, then. Ah well, I did it and I lived.

I do not think that is true. Your first post or so might need to be moderated as an anti-spammer measure but AFAIK it does not need to be in the intro forum.
