Hi

I am joining the Pentax community in these exciting times. I have been into photography on and off for the last twenty years. Got my first SLR when I was 17, a Pentax K-1000. Shot lots of natural and industrial landscape on slides. Got my K10-D and two bright Sigma zooms in 2007 which I have used since then. Lately I have picked up the camera more often to take pictures of my young kids and discovered the advantages with prime lenses.

Thanks for the interest. Most of those pictures are on slides. I'd have to scan. Maybe I will get a scanner though.

Welcome! I hope I'll find the time to attempt "scanning" some slides using a projector (sans lens) and camera with a macro lens. Initial tests are promising - and it sure will be quick if it works.

The original projector lamp is very powerful, though, so I found adding an ND1000 filter is necessary. Either that or get a low power bulb.
