Finger on the shutter button

Hi from Green Bay. After many years of absence from photography other than a Casio pocket camera, and the occasional roll of film in my early 80s vintage Pentax MX, I have gotten my finger on the DSLR shutter of a Pentax K20D. Wow, is this camera cool! And it uses all my old lenses back to my fast 1:1.2 50mm Pentax lense, and gives me image shake reduction too yet! But that means I also slid my Sunpak Auto322 flash onto the hot shoe and found it fired right off.

Now I come to find out the 322 is one of the old flashes with the highest flash voltage into the hotshoe! So I need to find an alternate way to use my 322. I think it is safe (safer) to use the 322 flash cord into the PC port on the K20D, but I need to research that further. Shutter on!!
