Hello from the Finger Lakes in NY

Hi everyone,
Boy, I can't wait to get home! My new K-50 is sitting on my porch waiting for me!
I started with a K-1000 30 years ago (still have it and anticipate using some of the lenses). Prior to this recent purchase, I've been using my iPhone and a Kodak Easyshare compact digital camera. I'm looking forward to experimenting and playing around with the DSLR!

I appreciate having found this forum!
Tracy

Welcome to the forum. Ah, the Finger Lakes. Love that area. Hopefully we'll see some pics from there.

Welcome from Syracuse. Pentaxians are rare in NY, but we do exist.

Welcome to the forum! I went to school in Ithaca many many moons ago, pre-iPhone, pre-iMac, pre-Netscape!

Welcome from Henrietta, NY. We are not rare in NY. We are the privileged elite who are allowed to own Pentax equipment. My first Pentax was a Spotmatic II that I have owned for over 40 years. The old screw mount 55mm f1.8 lens just happens to rock on my K5/K5-IIs and K3 too.

For those who live elsewhere, the Finger Lakes region of New York is one of the great photo secrets of the United States.
