Hello from Michigan!

I thought I would check this group out. This is my first Pentax. I've shot with a Olympus since 1980! Excited to get started here! Hello!

Welcome to the Pentax forum! What Pentax gear did you pick-up? Was an Olympus shooter myself back in the 1984< 135mm film days. What Oly gear did you shoot with? Be sure to close your eyes when looking at some of the threads around here as the LBA lens buying addiction threatens to be contagious

Welcome from another Michigan Pentax shooter! I hope you find this forum as useful as I have. It's a great source of information and I've bought and sold quite a bit of equipment through the Marketplace. The lens reviews are great too!

Thanks!

My new camera is a Pentax K50 and a couple kit lenses. I'm very pleased with it so far. We've been having a blizzard since I've had it so I haven't been out with it much. 😊

The camera is cold resistant, perhaps the camera operator is NOT.

Welcome to the forums from another Michigander. Been shooting Pentax since 1985. Used to borrow my friends OM-1 way back in the day. Nice compact camera from what I remember.

So hipychick, are you an old hippy (like many of us) or are you getting a new hip, also like many of us?

We are definitely in the deep freeze, but many of us are out. There's no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

Ha!

Well, the answer to your question is, both! The new hip won't be until the spring. That makes it a little hard to get out there in the snow.
