Greetings from Bellingham WA

I'm an amateur photographer from back in the days of film, 80s&90s. Then went digital with point and shoot cameras, but they're terrible with low light and get only ok outdoor shots. Now wanting to get back into photography with DSLR and was so happy to find I can use my old Pentax lenses with the new DSLRs. Just got a K-50. So far, loving it. My old lenses are an 17-80mm with macro, a 70-210mm zoom and a 50mm prime lens. I'll probably end up getting a 18-135mm WR lens for outdoor rainy days which we get a lot around here. I'll be needing to get better photo editing software. Lots of choices, I'm confused. Hope to have nice pics from upcoming summer vacation in the Canadian Rockies.

Hi kmac2. Welcome to the forum. Your K-50 is a very popular camera here, and teaming it with the 18-135 is a good choice. Looking forward to seeing some of your photographs soon.

Welcome aboard, it seems that Mistress LBA got to you first, giving you ideas about more lenses... before we could all warn you.

Hi there. I am in Nooksack. I attended several of the local camera club's meetings with great disappointment. Do you have any interest in starting a new club in the area with a more fun agenda?
