Greetings... New member here...joined last week but this is my first post.

I've been an 'inactive' photographer lately; but, I have lots of experience going back to the late 60s. Used to shoot a lot of sports car races (at Riverside and Laguna Seca)...amateur only but lots of fun. Used to develop my own negatives (Tri-X mostly). At that time I was shooting with a Topcon RE Super and a Leica iiic (long sad story but both were stolen from my car at college). Switched to Pentax a few years later; now I have several Super A's and an MX (MX will be going to Eric for a freshen up). A few years back I got a Digital K-x and a couple of decent DA lenses.

I like the idea of scanning negatives instead of using an enlarger. So, I think I'll get started with that first thing... Maybe I'll try to scan in some old CanAm or TransAm car images.

Looking forward to learning a lot from the people on this forum.

This is a good place to learn and share. I just sold my last MX—still have a few Pentax film bodies but can't afford to use them! Welcome to the forum. I went to high school in Riverside.

Welcome to the forums from an ex-Riversider. We lived in Edgemont (now Moreno Valley), right behind the old Riverside Int'l Raceway.

My buddies and I wasted a good portion of our youth at RIR.

Shhh...don't tell anyone but one of my buddies had a brother who was a security guard at one of RIR's back gates...he'd let us sneak in to watch 'tire testing' etc.
