Hello

Hi, I have been using Pentax since 2009 when I bought a K20D for Kenyan safari. Then purchased K5 for a second safari in 2011. In film days I had Olympus OM10 & OM2. Strayed away from photography for several years while concentrating on career & family. Entered the digital world with series of Panasonic point & shoots & all-in-ones. The K20 was my first digital slr. I chose Pentax mainly for weather sealing as I live in a humid climate. Just returned from my first guided photo tour - winter in Yellowstone. Tour leaders were Nikon shooters, as were most of the participants with exception of 3 Canon shooters. As the only Pentax user I felt a bit like the poor relation! I have to admit that the Nikons & Canons were exceptional - particularly the Canon 1DX - in handling the low light/high ISO situations. Therefore, like everyone else on the forum, I am looking forward to the Pentax FF - and hoping that it comes up with the goods. If not, well lets not think about that just yet......

Welcome to the forum, I just want to be in the queue before you... so I get my hands on them first.

Thank You

Hi All, thank you for the warm welcome. Following link to photo gallery of recent trip to Yellowstone. Sorry, pics don't include camera/lens details but all shot with either K5 or K20D using either Sigma 150-500, DA* 50-135, Sigma 10-20 (w/1.4 teleconverter), or 18-55 WR. Photos are from jpegs pulled from raw files (using Instant jpeg from Raw) with bit of editing in Elements. Hope they display OK.

Judging from your Yellowstone photos, you certainly shouldn't consider yourself the "poor relation"; rather the relation that won the lotto! They are beautiful!

BTW, Welcome to the forums!
