Hi!

Hello everyone! I'm a fifth grade teacher, and we are going to be starting a photography course at my school. I figured Pentax cameras are good, reliable cameras for students so here I am!

Welcome to the forum! You can't go wrong choosing Pentax! We'd love to hear how your photography course is going, and would like to see some of your photos, as well!

Hi ww12345. Welcome aboard the forum. Very good choice to start your little 5th graders with Pentax. They are built tough ( the cameras - not the students !!! ) and will handle " almost " anything. Good luck.

Greetings and welcome, and good luck with the teaching. I only hope you have a selection of Pentax goods available for the whole class, and teach them the true way of Pentax....

Went with a handful of Spotmatics, and some 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 55mm, and 135mm lenses. Should be kind of cool. Also found a Miranda camera that looks like it might take Pentax lenses - it's definitely screwmount but I can't tell if it's 42mm or 44mm.

Thanks again for all the advice! Will keep you posted with how it goes.
