Pots and pictures

Hi,
My name is Michael Mahan. I'm a potter in Seagrove, NC. I take a lot of photos of my pottery, after it is made and while it's being made. I also enjoy taking pictures nature and people, although taking pictures of people makes me nervous. I've got a k5lls, 18-55mm, DA 35mm 2.4, DA 50 mm 1.8, super takumar 300mm f4 and super takumar 55 mm 2.8. Since I bought the k5lls a little more than a year ago, I've been obsessed with studying my pictures at 100 percent magnification. I'm beginning to see that a picture doesn't have to look super sharp to be a nice photo. I guess I'm becoming more concerned with what my audience sees than with what I see at 100 percent. Here's a shot I took of my son pulling a handle on a mug.

Welcome! I also am looking forward to more of your images. I especially love coffee mugs that are handmade; they have such character, and are so beautiful.
