Hello from Alberta, Canada

Posted a few times already- now finally my introduction!
I've been with Pentax since the 70's, but I only got in the digital realm slowly, as I didn't expect it to catch on (embarrassed to admit that now). I consider myself somewhat advanced, though this forum has shown me how little I do know.
I'm happy to be here.

Not forgotten- but it is a long drive from Calgary, where I live. I've been through your area a few times and always marvelled at the scenery. Such amazing skies and panoramic vistas that hide so many photogenic gems.

But at least our traffic is more sane than that on the Deerfoot or Crowchild.

The wonderful thing about Calgary is you can go in any direction and find beautiful but totally different photo opportunities.

Would that be Medicine Hat? Lovely area, and sunny!

You got it. Loved Quebec City when I visited it a few times, mostly work related. The countryside is so much more interesting when you leave the Trans Canada. Sunny is an accurate description, bright blue skies are more common than not. And as the OP stated we are only 3 hours from a city

I was told there that you live in the sunniest town in Canada!

Medicine hat isn't that small by itself. You also have the largest military range in Canada (and one of the biggest in the world) nearby
