Howdy from the great white north!

This forum has been a great resource in my (re)search for a DSLR, so I figured I'd sign-up and participate.

I haven't had a dslr for years, my last one was a Nikon d70 (used to be Nikon guy ) and it took me some time to get back up to speed. From what I gathered Pentax seems to be the way to go in terms of fit, finish, legacy glass, durability, bang for the buck , etc., for an entry to mid-level dslr.

I was not impressed with any of the other companies offerings to be honest, they all look and feel the same, my old Nikon d70 felt better then any of the new cameras I've handled, apart from the Pentax.

Still shopping for gently used k30/50 type body and some glass, have a deal in the works, hopefully I can seal it and start sharing some shots and participating.

Thanks Jpzk - close to you, but in Ontario. And yeah, I've been looking at the marketplace, lots of stuff.

Welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place to learn and enjoy photography. I still love my D70, but the K3 is definitely several leagues better.
