Back at the beginning...again, lol.

Finally going digital SLR and leaving the point and shoot in the drawer (ok, maybe not the one on my phone). I have a degree in photo back from the film days and always used a Pentax then. Somewhere over the past quarter century my film SLRs ended up collecting dust when film and developing got pricey. I recently bought a used K7 to familiarize myself with DSLRs and found this forum as a result of searching for lenses. What a phenomenal resource you are!!! (The, uh, Internet didn't exist during my art school days. This would have been SO helpful then!) I feel like I'm a total beginner again so I'm very thankful that I came across this forum. Thanks so much to all of you for sharing your knowledge!

Welcome to the forum! Did you keep some of your old lenses to use on your DSLR? Looking forward to seeing some of your images.

I have ALL of my old lenses. Heck, I even have my enlarger and contact printer in storage lol. I know there's some differences when using an old film lens on a DSLR. I'll search the forum and see what I can find out.

Welcome to the forum, your previous degree with film cameras will stand you in good stead, photography hasn't changed that much... just the medium of capture, enjoy being digital now.
