Hello from the desert southwest

I'm a Pentax newbee but have been a fotografer since 2000. My first serious camera was a Canon D30, and over the years I've had Canon D30s, D60s, a 1DS, a 6D, a 5D3, a 5DS, and some sort of Rebel in there somewhere. I've also had Sonys in a7R, A99, and, currently, a7R2. I finally figured out that I use Sonys for the fabulous Zeisses available for them*, but I've never fallen in love with the a7(any) bodies. Also had a Samsung NX1 system.

I'm primarily a landscape shootist but do some general-purpose fotografy around the house and town--but I certainly don't do street fotografy. I use a GITZO leveling tripod with an ARCA Cube geared head. Lots of my work, 'serious' and not, can be found here...Jeffrey Behr's Library | Photobucket

Seems that ergonomics and handling--and, specifically, how the camera feels in my hands--are very important to me. I used 'seems' because I only recently discovered that after I buy a body for other reasons (most commonly, higher resolution), I end up selling it because I don't like the feel of it. So out went the NX1 and, earlier, the a7R, and I believe that the a7R2** will be following them fairly soon.

I just preordered a K-1 after reading LOTS of previews and looking at the camera-size comparator; it looks as if it's finally the body that my hands will love. Also have 43 and 77mm Limiteds coming.

* I currently have Loxias in 35 and 50mm and Zeiss/Contax-Ns in 24-85 and 70-200 with both fringer and Kapon adapters.
** Both Sonys are too small.
