Howdy from Central Oregon

Didn't realize how 'international' this site is! All over the world. I discovered the forums while looking for some information on a Vivitar lens I saw for sale. I really enjoyed the reviews of that lens and others. I look forward to learning more about my Pentax K30 I recently purchased. Been using point and shoot digital cameras up to this time. 20 plus yrs ago I did have a MESuper Pentax (which I still have) but the new DSLR cameras are so much more advanced.

Welcome from near Oregon I also began with an ME Super, and I've enjoyed Vivitar lenses with my Pentax - especially the #77 Kobori types.

Thanks for the welcome. Swift1 viewed your website and enjoyed your photos. We had a Mamiya C330 (I think) at work which I used for a bit and the negs seemed Huge compared to 35mm. And of course the detail in the photos was awesome. Keep up the good work with your 6X7s. Thanks too for the article on the Epson flatbed scanner (which is gathering dust on a shelf) I am going to get it out and use it.

Thanks!
If you get some scanning done, make sure to share the results in the Film SLR subforum.

Welcome to the clubhouse!

Using the manual lenses on modern Pentax DSLRs is a bit easier than some other brands. Depending on the lens, it can be very easy. Your film experience will help.
