New with Pentax camera

Hello from Norway

Just get my first Pentax K 3 + 200 mm f2,8 and 50 mm macro f2,8 , now I'm waiting to get a FA 35 mm f2 from E-bay Japan. . I used Canon for many years , but I sold it all and look forward to try Pentax and so far I very happy with it.

Magne

Awesome! Must I say that your lens choices seems very well thought out as well. The DA 200mm 2.8 is said to be one of the sharpest lens in the Pentax inventory. I never tried it myself, but would really like to. (I think it does suffer from a lot of CA though, but that is correctable in post production). As for the FA35mm f/2, I owned that lens before and it's a pleasure to use. It feels quite solid in the hands and produces lovely pictures. In the end, the older Sigma EX DC 30mm 1.4 served my purpose better, but if I was interested in landscape and cityscape photography, I'd buy the FA 35mm again in a heartbeat.

If I may, what made you leave Canon? Did you leave for Pentax or did you quit photography altogether for a while before deciding on buying Pentax equipment?

And while I'm at it, why don't you share some pictures with your new set up .

Hello It's good to hear that you like the 35 mm f2 , I have read just good thing's about it . I think of buying a mirrorless camera , but then I try a Pentax and I like it a lot so I buy one . I got the 200 mm at half price here in Norway , brand new so I had to buy it and it is great.

Velkommen! Vi er en håndfull norske her. But this being an international forum we'd better stick to English

Good to see you've picked quality lenses to start with. Sounds like you got a great deal on that 200mm.

Your English is all good... certainly better than my Norwegian, but how's your Scots.
