New to forum

I am new(ish) to photography. I haven't picked up a camera in many years and am trying to get back into it and learn about the digital world at the same time I take pictures just for the joy of it and am always trying to better myself and appreciate any feed back that may help me with this goal.

Welcome aboard, Sue. Looks like you're off to a good start. The only thing I'd do with the flower image would be a bit of reflected light or fill flash to better illuminate the shadowed blossom without spoiling the silhouette of the cactus.
