Hello from Texas

Hello,
My name is Greg, I own a Pentax k-1000 35mm, I haven't made the jump to a dslr yet. Still learning how to take pictures which is why I like the manual k-1000. I spend time working and taking pictures. I just started photography a few weeks ago and I really enjoy it, looking to learn as much as possible by watching videos and just taking pictures.

Welcome to the forums! I have a K-1000 also. I really liked the build and simple, straightforward operation of it. Since then I have had a K-20D, two K-5s, one K-5IIS, and one K-3II. I presently have the K-5 IIS and the K-3II, and they are very nice cameras.

Thank you for the welcome, questions I have lots of those @Kerrowdown the money thing works out because my wife gets to spend the amount I spend on photography on herself she likes that idea .
What is a good flash to use, can I get the speed lights to work on the k-1000?
When shooting film is it best to just use the ISO rating of the them and not change it around? if you change it how do you compensate for it?

Can't help thinking that's a bit like a double whammy, with only half the amount of cash available for camera kit.
