I just registered and thought I'd make a quick introduction.

My first Pentax was an SP500 which I bought new in the early 70's. I eventually sold that and bought an ME, which I still own together with a number of M series lenses. I shot slides mostly and usually on Fujichrome. Other interests and commitments took precedence and except for special events my photography languished.

In 2004, I purchased a Fujifilm E510 and that camera served my needs until 2014, when I acquired my Pentax K-50. I then purchased a Pentax MX-1 as a casual use camera. Frankly, I’ve used the MX-1 more than the K-50 because it is so convenient to carry. However, I really miss having an optical viewfinder on the MX-1.

I now have a number of DA lenses for the K-50 as well as my legacy M series glass. The fact that I could use all my old lenses on the K-50 was instrumental in convincing me to get back into photography again. I knew there was a reason why I’d held on to my old film equipment.

Had friends who stayed at Chatham, albeit some thirty odd years ago.
