Just stopped by to say HOWDY Y'ALL.

I'm just getting the photog bug again after a 10 year hiatus. After much research and soul searching, I recently ordered a K-S2 with a couple of kit lenses. Seemed like the best gear around and a good value for the dollar.

I'm in Austin and have a K-3 outfit as well as an old MX film camera and use them both. I think Pentax cameras are a great value and are as good or better than Canikon over all. Of course, I may be prejudiced having used Pentax equipment since the 1970's.

So, you were in Hawaii? I've never been, but have thought about it,

Oddy enough, I went through a "researching and soul searching" experience over the last few weeks, comparing a lot of cameras from different brands, and I settled on. . . a Pentax K-S2!

Somehow it reminds me of where I started.

We took a two week cruise. Hawaiian Island chain and the Gilbert Island chain. I took over 30 rolls of pictures on that trip.

Here is one from the Republic of Kirbati. I call it 'Church in the Jungle'
