Hi from Minoltaland

Hi
I got into photography in the 90's after inheriting my grandpa's X-G7 and some lenses (50mm 1.4 and a slow zoom and a couple primes)
Had to hang it up (reluctantly as the family migrated to digital.)
Now I blog and use a fading Panasonic Lumix SMC something (workhorse that has done a yeoman's job) and the more I look at cameras the more I like Pentax.

Not looking for bleeding edge ( worked in television during the analog/digital conversion), but wanting to try to build a kit _and_ perhaps use my old lenses in the meanwhile.

I follow pentax forums on youtube (the same group?) and am enthusiastic at the full size sensor at a price point that means it's attainable as an upgrade down the road.

Currently looking at the K-50, but waiting for this mystical k70 to materialize to compare.

Thanks
Johanna

Hi Johanna. Welcome to the Pentax forums. As you are finding when you compare cameras, Pentax camera bodies have so many more features as standard that the phrase " More bang for your buck " really is true. Good luck with your choice.

Welcome, but I think the K-70 might be quite a ways off, just go for the K-S2, its got a weather proofed body.
