G'day from Australia!

G'day everyone, I'm very new to the forums here! I have a Pentax Kx DSLR, an Olympus TG820 tough compact and an older Fujifilm Finepix S95. Probably my favourite lens on the Kx is my Sigma 28-80mm, as it has a built in "macro mode" with 1:2 magnification! It's great.

Anyone else here from Australia? Here's a photo I took with the Sigma 28-80....it's an old lens and has confused the camera's EXIF data....

G'day! Aussie living in Canada here! You'll find quite a few Aussies here who are still living Down Under, though.

And just a quick comment on your photo. Nice composition. Grass in front is more in focus than the cat - Have you checked for front/back focus on your lens

Hi Wild Mark, I didn't think of that... I just thought the lens was old and soft! It's a film kit lens you see 😊. Thanks for the comment- I've been trying to improve my composition!

Glad to see so many Aussies on here! I think we are taking over! Haha

In that case you need a lens that doesn't require adjustment to check and see if it is the camera or not. I say this because, sadly, your camera model cannot be adjusted without significant effort (debugging program - which I have never done).

Where are you approximately?

Cool. I'll troll through some lenses I have to see if there is a nice zoom with no front/back focusing issues and send for your comparison.

G'day Bessa. Plenty of Aussies here, as others have said. Possibly more than any other on a per population basis. Don't be scared to ask questions. the good folk around here will be tripping over each other with their eagerness to help.
