I'm new to this forum but not to film Pentax cameras or photography. A by-product of my photography is camera collecting and I have a decent sized collection of what I call the 35mm Japanese SLRs that mattered along with a pair of Leica M bodies, two Rolleicords, Mamiya C220f system, Series E Rolleiflex and a Hasselblad 500 c/m.

Now you're first thought so where are the Pentax's in my list. Well in my collection and 95% get used, starting with a circa 1958 Model K, Honeywell Pentax H3, a pair of SVs (black and chrome), a S1a as well as and Asahi Spotmatic SP, II and F. At the end of the Summer I'll be joining the K mount tribe too with the MX and later one I hope a KX.

Welcome from someone not all that far from you who only started with Pentax with a K5 and now has a bunch of nice old lenses to play with.

I'm getting a MX for my birthday at the end of August, already got the K mount M 50 f1.4 lens to go with it. In the interim I'm getting a K mount adapter to use all the screw mount lenses until I get more K mount lenses for the kit. In terms of bodies, the LX is very intriguing I have a pair of Nikon F3HPs and Canon F-1N's it would be cool to have the Pentax answer to both those cameras. I don' know, I would love a KX too and that might be my next body in this mount. LX's aren't cheap.

Good to hear, I hardly ever use my Rolleichord since I got the Hasselblad
